Youth is the greatest asset for any organisation. Diepsloot Youth Project understands this fact and is working to develop a strong network of young people who can help shape its future. Towards this goal, DYP has partnered with Life Skills to Succeed, a leading youth development firm.
DYP’s youths are being provided with invaluable skills that will help them succeed in life. This program teaches them valuable leadership skills, helps them develop their soft skills, and equips them with the necessary knowledge to be successful in school and life.

2 youths from Diepsloot Youth Project participate in a Life Skills to Succeed Program at World of Work. The program seeks to transform the lives of young people through education and employment. Our goal is to equip them with the skills, knowledge, and abilities they need to succeed in school, in their careers, and in society. To do this, we provide them with a holistic approach that includes classes on life skills, financial literacy, and more.
At World of Work, we believe that every individual has the potential to reach his or her full potential. Through our programs, we strive to nurture this potential by providing students with opportunities that will help them reach their full potential both professionally and personally. We believe that by giving youths access to resources and programs like these they will be able to make great strides toward achieving success in their lives.
Youth are an enigma. Who understands them, how they think, how they behave? Youth Project strives to understand youth in all its complexity by offering a range of programs for them. Youth Project is trying to develop the skills of youths and help them to lead their life with dignity, self-esteem, and respect.
For this end, Diepsloot Youth Project has conducted a Life Skills To Succeed program for 2 youths from the project. The aim of the program is to help the youths acquire confidence and develop soft skills to be successful in life. The program is designed as a holistic approach that includes counseling sessions, workshops for nurturing interpersonal relationship skills, life skills development classes etc. In course of time, results are expected if proper effort is made on both design and implementation level
Youth can be great leaders in their own ways, but very few of them have the skills to navigate life’s challenges.
Diepsloot Youth Project is trying to change that by providing its 2 youths with valuable life skills. Launched in 2015, the program is designed to equip youth with the necessary tools so they can succeed in all areas of their lives. The program includes a range of courses and workshops that are tailored to the needs and interests of each participant.
Many people in our society are of the opinion that youth lacks the capability to take on meaningful and challenging jobs. Diepsloot Youth Project is here to prove them wrong. With its Life Skills to Succeed Program, youths learn how to think critically and find solutions for complex problems. They are also equipped with soft skills like communication and negotiation, which will help them land a job in the future.
Diepsloot Youth Project is an initiative by the Education Department of Johannesburg in partnership with various organizations committed to creating equal opportunities for all; including those who have been marginalized because of their age, gender, race or socio-economic status. We believe in building a future where everyone can participate equally and succeed by providing education, skills acquisition, work experience and mentorship programs.
