Just imagine how much they still need support when it comes to basic healthcare needs. YouthProjectsDiepsloot is here to change that! With tangible results on the ground, YouthProjectsDiepsloot is changing the landscape of aid and health workforce development through their programs. Not only are they setting an example with their work, but they are constantly innovating to keep up with societal changes. Their programs give back a lot more than just their youth getting trained in healthcare; they empower them so that one day, when needed most, every community will have its own doctor or nurse ready for them with skillsets necessary for care in any setting.
Diepsloot Youth Projects is an initiative by Diepsloot Local Municipality to create a sustainable change in the community. Their goal is to develop local youth who are capable and prepared for future employment opportunities. They strive to implement a holistic approach that covers education, skill development and access to jobs.
–|The Health Workforce programme focuses on skills training and building capacity so that the young people can pursue rewarding careers in health care. The programme seeks to build positive relationships between government, private sector, academia and various stakeholders of health care industry through easy-to-understand workshops, knowledge sharing sessions and job opportunities. With continuous growth and collaboration from all stakeholders, the future looks brighter for young people in Diepsloot.
