Drug abuse is affecting a lot of people nowadays. We see the effects of that drug addiction on TV shows, movies, and even in our everyday lives. One organization is trying to change that. Diepsloot Youth Project is working to end the stigma surrounding drug use and getting addicts the help they need.

They offer treatment facilities for those in need, but also provide education about drugs on a global scale so people can understand how dangerous it is to take drugs recreationally or even medicinally. By educating people about this issue, we can all work together to end this problem once and for all!

Everyone knows by now that drug abuse is a serious problem. The World Health Organization has classified it as a global emergency, and the number of people getting affected every year is on the rise. Yet there are still those who continue to deny its existence or think that it doesn’t affect them. And we all know how wrong that assumption is!

Diepsloot Youth Project aims to change all of those misconceptions, with their innovative approach to this problem. By focusing on the youth, they get their hands dirty and make sure that they’re not just aware of but also involved in making some impactful changes in their neighborhood.

These are people who truly understand what’s at stake if we don’t find a way to stop this scourge soon! That’s why we’re proud to partner with them and support their efforts whenever possible.

You’ve been hearing about it for a while now, and here’s why you should care: drug abuse is on the rise in South Africa, with the number of people seeking treatment increasing every year. Think that this only affects urban areas? No way! In fact, according to a recent survey, roughly 14% of adults aged 16 and older say they’ve used drugs at least once in their lifetime.

Unfortunately, addiction takes many forms — from taking prescription pills to getting high on alcohol or other substances. But no matter how someone reaches for drugs or gets hooked on them, we can help them get back on track by offering programs like Youth Project Diepsloot.

And who better to lead these youth than those who have been there themselves? So whether you’re facing your own battles with substance abuse or are just curious about what others are doing to fight it off, come visit us at the Diepsloot Youth Project today!

Drug abuse is a global problem. Even though there is an increasing number of awareness campaigns in place, the rate of drug abuse continues to soar. We believe that one can’t change a person’s behaviour overnight, but with time and patience, we can make him/ her understand the gravity of this issue.

That’s why we’re partnering with Diepsloot Youth Project (DYP), a non-profit organization that works towards curbing drug abuse in our society by conducting various awareness programs. The foundation runs its own drug rehabilitation clinic and also operates several schools where they impart education to children about drugs and how they affect individuals’ lives.

We hope that working together will help us achieve our goal of creating a safer world for everyone!

When we think of drugs, we don’t usually associate them with children. But according to experts, 33 per cent of all adolescents have tried marijuana by their teenage years. Drugs are used not just to get high but also for fun and socializing. To make matters worse, the rate at which drug use is increasing among children is alarming too! That’s why DYP aims to see the rate of drug abuse go down so that our kids can live a safe and happy life!

Every single month, 2 volunteers from Diepsloot Youth Project visit schools in order to spread awareness about drugs and how they can be harmful. The team visits different classes and engages in a variety of activities like making posters or comics on drug abuse Issues while also answering questions regarding it. In total, they’ve visited over 5 schools in the past few months alone! This initiative has already made a difference in our society and we hope that it will continue transforming lives by shaping young minds through knowledge & wisdom!
