Founded in 2012, DYP has already provided more than 5000 youth with education, skills development, and job opportunities. Being a youth in today’s world demands being extra cautious and smart. To add to that, knowing the ways of crime is equally important. That is why DYP has been created! This project will teach you about crime, safety etc so that you can stay protected and safe. Along with that, there are various activities too where you can learn new things and make new friends.

Sometimes children need to go a long way to reach a success in life. But no one knows the hard work and perseverance it takes until you’re there yourself. It’s time to change that!

Diepsloot Youth Project is an initiative by the Sindh government to change the perception of children who think they’re incapable of becoming successful individuals. The project aims to provide them with opportunities and resources so that they can empower themselves and contribute to their communities in positive ways.

And our next participant Akani Metmar is living proof of its effectiveness! He first came to DYP as a child labourer, but thanks to our mentoring program, he’s now a youth leader who wants nothing more than to make Diepsloot a better place for all its citizens.

Project Akani Metmar is a non-profit organization that aims to provide a stable living environment to children from financially and educationally underprivileged backgrounds. Project Akani Metmar operates from Diepsloot, South Africa, where it has set up homes for underprivileged children. Through the medium of education and vocational training, we aim to empower these children and give them a chance at a brighter future.
