The youth in Diepsloot are changing the world around them. They’re taking up roles of leadership and helping others, and their positive influence is spreading.

We at DYP are proud to work with young people like these and see their potential every day. We believe in empowering them so that they can change not just the lives of those around them, but its very own as well. Thank you for your support!

It is easy to feel lost and hopeless when you have no place to call home, no prospects in sight, and no one to rely on for support. This is the story of many young people in Diepsloot. They are homeless, jobless, and abandoned by their families. Many have been brought up in foster care or group homes. But they don’t let life’s uncertainties deter them from pursuing a meaningful future. On the contrary, they’re using their time wisely by taking classes at Diepsloot Youth Project (DYP), getting involved in extracurricular activities at school, trying out new jobs, or figuring out their career aspirations. With your help, these youth will be able to take control of their lives and realize their dreams!

Change starts with one person, and today, Diepsloot youth is changing the lives of young people. The Project provides a comprehensive program that addresses all their needs – physical, educational, and emotional – in a holistic manner. Whereby they are empowered to change themselves first, then the society around them.

DYP has been instrumental in making this change possible by providing young people with food, shelter, clothing, educational opportunities, and more. We proudly call ourselves a partner of DYP as we see the impact it has on the lives of these amazing youth.

Being a teenager or young adult can be tough. You have your own set of interests, habits and preferences, but you also face the challenge of transitioning into adulthood while balancing work, home and social life. This is where Diepsloot Youth Project comes in. We’re a volunteer-led organization that provides youth with resources and support that will help them succeed during this transition period. Whether it’s helping them find employment, navigating college life or making healthy choices, we’re here to help.

We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to live a happy and successful life. That’s why we work hard every day to provide them with the tools they need to do just that.

Every child deserves a chance to blossom and grow. But in Diepsloot, Cape Town, that’s not always the case. Delivered by the Diepsloot Youth Project, our programs are changing lives and building confidence one step at a time. With fun classes and activities, as well as access to world-class facilities and services, we’re helping young people reach their full potential.

From empowering them to take control of their lives and lives around them to learning life skills that will help them succeed in any career path they choose, we’re doing everything we can to give them the best possible chance at achieving their dreams.
