We are a youth development initiative in Diepsloot. We believe that every individual is unique and has the right to live life on his/her own terms. To achieve this, we offer counseling, life skills classes, and job opportunities to our participants. Through our initiatives, we aim to empower the youth to take control of their lives and build a better future for themselves.

Thank you for your support!

Diepsloot is one of the most crime-prone areas in South Africa. The youth there are at a very high risk of turning to crime and getting caught up in gang life. When they see older people failing to make any change, they want to give it try too. So they decided to start a youth project in Diepsloot, where they can teach the younger generation how to build better lives for them.

DYP started by training unemployed youth how to build houses and provide jobs. In just 3 years, they have built more than 1 100 houses, while providing employment for over 2 100 people. They are changing the face of Diepsloot after all!

If you ever wondered why these kids get involved in crime or gang life, this is why! They don’t know what else to do with their lives and no one seems willing or able to help them out. But the Youth Project offers them hope for a brighter tomorrow through education and entrepreneurship.

A project that cares for the youth in Soweto is a step in the right direction. But what about the children who aren’t being raised by loving families? Or those who aren’t part of a community that supports them?

We at Diepsloot Youth Project are trying to change

A youth project in Soweto? Sounds unbelievable, but that’s exactly where you’ll find the Diepsloot Youth Project. This initiative was started by a local resident who realized the need for a clean, safe space for young people in the area. Now, not only is the project providing teenagers with a place to call their own, but it’s also facilitating positive social change through its various programs. If you want to see the impact of this project for yourself, come visit us at Diepsloot Soweto!

Active and aspirational youth are the pillars of our society. They make us feel proud of ourselves and our future, represent our nation in all walks of life, and inspire others to be the best they can be. At Diepsloot Youth Project, we understand that youth hold an important place in the fabric of South Africa, and use this understanding to their advantage. Driven by passion, we impart knowledge and skills that will help shape their future; build them as leaders in society; and give them a voice. #BeThePillar

So next time you’re admiring a group of active teenagers, take a look at their uniform – colorful designs on shirts, shorts, bags… And chances are that they belong to Diepsloot Youth Project! We believe in reaching out to the ‘young ones’ who have not yet lost hope for a world where everyone is treated equally. We work hard to change perceptions about kids who might seem unruly or delinquent – giving them an opportunity to express themselves freely without judgment or bias. We see them as shining stars who don’t see boundaries or limitations on what they can achieve.

Diepsloot Soweto is a place where thousands of children go every day for schooling. But this area has largely been ignored by the government and non-profits. That’s why we launched Diepsloot Youth Project. We want to change that and make this part of South Africa a better place for everyone.

DYP is making sure the children here have access to the education they deserve, and working with local leaders to improve living conditions so that kids can focus on their studies without worrying about basic needs like food or shelter.

We’d love to see DYP be part of our Soweto community for years to come – let’s make it happen!

It’s a well-known fact that the youth of today face many challenges. The Diepsloot Youth Project is working hard to change that for the better. They believe that by engaging young people in positive activities, we can create a more vibrant and sustainable community.

Since their inception in 2017, they’ve organized more than 100 events, including art workshops, sports clinics, and food markets. And they’re just getting started!thaat. We provide education, health care, and other services to the children living in difficult circumstances in Gauteng. Most importantly, we strive to create a safe space where they can feel accepted and loved. By making an investment today, you’re helping to transform their lives and enrich our communities.

The youth of diepsloot have taken a stand for all to see. They are making sure that no one is left behind and that everyone belongs in life. Youth leader Malese Desvaran has launched a youth project aimed at eliminating inequality from society once and for all, so that everyone can live with dignity and respect. Diepsloot Youth Project is now reaching out to Soweto in an effort to build a more just and inclusive world.
