We all know violence is never an acceptable form of communication, so why do we still see an increase in violent crimes committed between these two? It’s time we adopt a new way of understanding and approaching this issue. The Diepsloot Youth Project is here to help us change the dynamics by decreasing violence among young and old. Our programs aim to provide the right tools and skills so that young people can develop healthy relationships with their elders and peers, while also teaching them about conflict resolution. We believe that nurturing these relationships is crucial if we want to build a more peaceful society where everyone feels valued and respected.

A war is never fought with bullets and bombs; violence always starts when someone says or does things that hurt someone’s feelings. Wouldn’t it be a better way to let off steam and express yourself without hurting the other person?
