It’s time for Happy Hour! Sit down, relax, and have a drink with DYP. It’s a happy hour of laughs and excitement as the Diepsloot Youth Project brings happiness to learners. Whether you’re Spanish classing or online shopping, watching movies or playing games, you’ll find something fun to do at Happy Hour. We want you to feel comfortable and happy while learning in Diepsloot, so let us know if there’s anything we can do to help!

Children can be described in many ways, but what do you call a youth who breaks your heart, yet fills it with smiles and laughs? A ‘Diepsloot Kid’ if you ask us. Children who have been through the Youth Project by Diepsloot understand happiness better than anyone else does. They might not be rich or famous, but they are happy and content about who they are and what they do. That is why we call them kids of destiny!

Through interactive sessions and workshops, Diepsloot Kids break down barriers and build new ones with their peers. They learn to appreciate themselves more and that their voice matters. They also develop new skills that will help them excel in life – from communication to financial literacy to entrepreneurship.

Our Youth Project arm is an extension of our efforts to create a better tomorrow for the children of the neighborhood!

Happiness is contagious, and so is the Diepsloot Youth Project! Youth from across Diepsloot come together to spread joy in the community.

A happy learner is a productive learner, and that’s why we organize fun activities for kids every week. Kids learn new skills and have a lot of fun while doing it! That’s the philosophy of Diepsloot Youth Project, a non-profit organization that has been working for last 20 years towards building happy learners. The project offers a variety of classes to suit all ages, interests, and skill levels.

From creative arts to sports, cooking class to language classes, there is something for everyone in Diepsloot Youth Project. Classes are tuition-free, so you can enrol without worrying about cost, and your donations help fund programs that improve lives in Diepsloot.
