You too can be a Wastepreneur! The Diepsloot Youth Project is hosting a series of discussions with successful Wastepreneurs to share their experience and insights in becoming a successful entrepreneur. From building a sustainable business model to scaling it, these sessions will provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to make your own path to success.

On Saturday 8 November from 11:00am – 1:00pm, join our host Jono Kaleda for an interactive session where you’ll learn about how Jono built his business and grew its revenues. If that’s not enough, register for one of our upcoming classes on Wastepreneurship and take your chances at becoming the next Motlolo Mogapi!

A recent survey by Bridges found that almost half of the respondents believe that access to knowledge and skills is crucially important for youth, but it seems like this is not enough. Youth programmes are beginning to take note of this growing realization and are now focussing on imparting access to knowledge and skills. Youth Project Diepsloot (DYP) is one such organisation that has been imparting Wastepreneurs’ wisdom and experience into the minds of youth all over South Africa.

DYP believes that only by learning from others can we grow, develop, and make a mark in this world. These Wastepreneurs have made it through multiple ups and downs, but they believe in their systems the most. And these systems are changing lives in a big way!

Young entrepreneurs have a powerful impact on the economy, but it’s often hard for them to find ways to scale their business. That’s where Diepsloot Youth Project comes in. This initiative provides youth with the knowledge and resources they need to be successful business owners, so that they can have a positive impact on the community.
