The best way to inspire change is by example. That’s why the Diepsloot Youth Project exists. With chapters all over Africa, this non-profit organization is on a mission to end youth violence in our communities. They do this by teaching conflict resolution, life skills, and more – all while building Unity and Peace in our neighborhoods.
From the Diepsloot case studies to their videos on social media, you can easily see that this project is about more than just numbers and statistics. It’s about changing a culture for the better – one person at a time.
Children are the future and they deserve a bright one. So says Diepsloot Youth Project, which is determined to change that. The project has been running since 2009 and has made immense progress in its mission to empower children. It runs educational classes, extracurricular activities, and workshops that aim to develop the whole child. In addition to this, it also conducts awareness programs on various subjects and issues that matter most for kids today.
DYP believes that every child deserves an opportunity to succeed; so it provides them with programs and resources necessary for success. This way, students can develop their full potential and soar high in life!
Is your child involved in any of the following? – Being bullied on social media – Stealing or dealing drugs – Smuggling out of school – Selling or consuming drugs at home
We have the answer for you! Come and join us in our project. The Diepsloot Youth Project is a non-profit organisation that is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children and youth who live in one of South Africa’s most notorious townships, Diepsloot. Our programs aim to empower children and youth by building their self-esteem, helping them develop life skills, instilling good values and providing them with opportunities for success.
The world is full of unemployed youth, and they all have one thing in common – they don’t know what to do next. At Diepsloot Youth Project, we know that feeling of hopelessness and uncertainty all too well. That’s why we’re here to change that. We’re doing our best to help these young people move forward in their lives by providing them with the resources they need to succeed.
From free workshops on job hunting and resume writing, to classes on financial literacy and budgeting, we’re helping these kids take control of their futures. And as they do, we see their confidence grow – giving them the tools they need to chase their dreams and achieve whatever it is that makes them happy.
Youth project Diepsloot has been changing the lives of youth in the area through workshops, skill-development sessions, health camps and other programmes. Now they’re also working on changing the attitude of people toward them by starting a case study on their lives.
We want to understand what’s going on in their world, whether it is family or friends that influence them positively or if there are issues with schoolwork or a lack of confidence. There is an immense amount of information that we can gather from such a case study and from the feedback received, we hope to turn this into a calendar event in future years. In the meantime, watch out for more updates from Youth Project Diepsloot!
