Youth unemployment is a major issue in South Africa, andDiepsloot Youth Project in Johannesburg wants to change that. The project aims to alleviate youth unemployment by creating a platform for youth to develop business skills and find employment opportunities. Through the Diepsloot Youth Project, participants learn valuable skills while they gain the experience they need to succeed. And because it’s run by volunteers with experience in youth development, it has the flexibility needed to accommodate last-minute changes or unexpected events.

In addition to providing participants with a space where they can be themselves and work on their projects without judgment, YPP also provides them with a network of support that helps them manage their time and stay motivated.

When youth are given a chance, they make it count. That is why the Diepsloot Youth Project (DYP) has been helping out at-risk youth in South Africa for years now. With over 2000 participants on their books, DYP has continuously striven to provide them with opportunities.

In its latest impact evaluation, DYP shares how it is helping young people reach their full potential – by providing them with access to education, training and employment. Through this program, young people develop skills that will help them not just survive but thrive in today’s changing economy.

Whether you’re a volunteer who wants to do more or a donor looking to make an impact, join us in building a brighter future for South Africa’s youth.
