This is one of the most disadvantaged and crime-ridden areas in our country, yet it is home to some of the brightest minds and most innovative entrepreneurs. Through its Youth Project initiative, Diepsloot strives to bridge this gap and help these young people realize their full potential.

DYP boasts a host of programs that offer a wide range of services to youth in the area, all focused on helping them achieve their goals and realize their full potential. Some of the more notable programs include: a free school grab bag program that provides resources for school success; an entrepreneurship platform that teaches young people how to run a successful business; and after-school tutoring programs where youth can get help with homework or develop new skills.

Diepsloot Youth Project wants to change that notion with its various workshops and camps conducted every weekend. The wide range of activities performed by the youth keeps them occupied for the entire weekend, making the city feel fresh and new every Saturday morning.

The youth project has a team of dedicated volunteers who are present on Saturday for the entire day to ensure that no youth is left unattended. All you have to do is drop in at their office on Saturday morning and say hi! There’s a bag full of goodies available for free, and they will teach you anything from sewing costumes to dancing in a span of 2 hours!
