A community without employment opportunities is a community without dignity. Youth from poor communities in and around Diepsloot are now having an employment opportunity through the Youth Project of Diepsloot Community Action.

The project aims at providing youth with essential resources and skills to help them find sustainable employment. All youth enrolled in the project will receive a weekly stipend, health insurance, and vocational training so they have the chance to earn a living wage. By working with Diepsloot Community Action, we can make sure that every young person in our community has access to the resources they need to build a better future for themselves.

Youth empowerment is a key to development. That’s why DYP has been working for many years in the area of youth development and empowerment.

DYP partners with local youth leaders to create educational programs, develop entrepreneurial skills, and promote a healthy lifestyle. We believe that when youth are given the resources they need to thrive and succeed, they have the power to transform their communities.

Diepsloot Youth Project (DYP) is a community-based organization that works with young people to address key social issues. DYP was founded in 2002 by local residents committed to changing the community for the better. We conduct research, host workshops and programs, and organize events that focus on education, health, and sustainability. We also provide mentorship and leadership training to help our participants develop the skills they need to succeed in life. Through our programs and initiatives, we are making a difference in the lives of young people in Diepsloot by empowering them to take ownership of their communities.

We are happy to announce that we have partnered with Diepsloot Youth Project to expand your child’s horizons! Youth Project Diepsloot is an initiative by the South African charity Diepsloot Community Action that aims at providing a holistic education and care to children who are underprivileged, by providing them with an enriching education and building skills through programs, workshops and activities. Kids learn while they play, participate in games and sport activities, try new things, build confidence, develop their social skills and gain self-esteem. Besides learning new things every day, they also get a chance to make something out of it!

Diepsloot Youth Project is definitely changing some perceptions about children living in slums and making them feel special.

A young man on a bicycle who appears to be lost in his own thoughts. And he might just be! There’s so much happening around him that he is oblivious of. The youth project Diepsloot wants to change that. To make the youth aware about what is going on around them, a lot of events have been held at the location where the Youth Project is being run. And with every passing day, the youth seem to get more interested and involved with these activities.
