An eleven-year-old boy from Diepsloot has become a victim of human trafficking. He travelled with his friends to another state, and while there, he was forced into prostitution. Criminals lured him with promises of a job and sent him to Johannesburg by train. But when he reached Johannesburg, he was told that he had to work as a sex worker in different places.
He says that the traffickers threatened to kill him if he ever told anyone about his ordeal. They also threatened his family members and all their relatives living in Diepsloot if they ever tried to rescue him. Police were unable to help since police officers are often the people being trafficked by criminals; so the family decided themselves to take action and search for him in Johannesburg.

DYP Diepsloot Ext 2 is an initiative to promote holistic development among children and youths living in underprivileged conditions. Through various activities, DYP Diepsloot aims at building their confidence, self-esteem, and providing them with opportunities to excel in life. Moreover, by involving youth leaders like Captain Ntibiwe, we aim at creating a positive youth corps where they can contribute towards nation building.
