When one hears of a youth project in South Africa, the first thought that comes to mind is the absence of parents and guardians. This is quite true in Diepsloot, but we at Diepsloot Youth Project believe that it’s equally important to keep children engaged and involved in extracurricular activities. In fact, we’ve been doing just that for over 25 years now!

With classes for all ages and skill levels, our program provides young people with the opportunity to stay active and engaged through fun classes like art and music. We also offer leadership training courses, which help our participants become effective leaders both within their communities and beyond.

Diepsloot Youth Project is all set to change the lives of the youth in the area by providing them with a holistic development. The project has centers in different areas and classes are conducted 3 times a week. The classes include health, nutrition, and education. Their aim is to make sure that every youth reaches his/her full potential so that he/she can take over and change the future of Diepsloot for better.

We are nothing without our youth. Youth is the future of our country, and they should be encouraged to work hard and lead a productive life. In this project, we aim to make that possible by providing them with opportunities and skills so that they can succeed in the real world.

DYP is not just about providing soft skills; it’s also about building character and leadership. We teach young people how to build their own businesses, manage their finances, and grow confidently in life. Our extracurricular programs teach important life skills that will serve them well in any career path or future endeavor.

The youth of today are in dire need of positive role models to guide them on the path to success and Diepsloot Youth Project is here to help.

Project Diepsloot is a comprehensive education and career development program for youth that offers everything you need to succeed. We are a nonprofit organization that works tirelessly to provide young people living in poverty in Diepsloot with the resources they need to successfully navigate life. We provide education, financial literacy, health and safety education, and much more – all tailored to meet the individual needs of each young person we serve. As a part-time or full-time volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of these vulnerable youth.
