Vehicles are a sign of modern living and when that sign is visible in your neighbourhood, it’s an indication of prosperity. We all know the link between prosperity and crime, but in this case, crime for our youth is being curbed. For the first time, Diepsloot police station has taken delivery of 16 brand new SUVs. This means that our youth will be able to travel about in style without worrying about their safety because now they have reliable vehicles on hand whenever they need one.

This is a step towards making our society safer by providing avenues for easy transportation of criminals and other nefarious characters who want to do harm to the society.

When a crime is committed in the vicinity, it not only affects the general public but also the police force. To help in handling the crime situation, Diepsloot Youth Project has been initiating various programs and activities to boost up the overall confidence of youth in the area.

Last week, Diepsloot police station received 16 new vehicles from Diepsloot Youth Project. The donation includes two SUVs, ten hatchbacks and four sedans. These cars have been given to all cops working at the police station for their smooth operations. The cars have been assigned to constables on duty for patrolling, checking and securing the area.

We salute these youth who have huge hearts for humanity. We wish that they spread love and compassion everywhere they go!

The youth of Diepsloot are not just known for their frivolous behavior. They do good, too! When the police station in their area realized that they were going to need a fleet of vehicles soon, they approached Diepsloft Youth Project and asked if they could donate some. The youth happily agreed, and 16 brand new cars were delivered to the police station. Not only does this project help the youth learn about safety on the road, but it also teaches them about how to take care of a car so that they can be responsible drivers when they get their own cars.

In addition to donating these vehicles, DYP also conducts regular road safety classes for kids in the area to encourage them to make smart decisions when driving on the streets.

When you find yourself in a strange place where the locals speak a different language but understand your own, you feel like a stranger in your own land. But what if that unfamiliar place is your home? That’s exactly what happened to Diepsloot police station when it was stationed there for some time. With 16 vehicles at their disposal, they were able to keep up with all the local intelligence and reach out when necessary. Not many know about this project that aims to build one-to-one relationships between law enforcement and the citizens they serve.

Cars are the new way of keeping track of missing children. And in Diepsloot, where children go missing on a regular basis, it has just been made easier with the arrival of 16 shiny new cars. From Sunday, 3rd June to Monday, 14th June 2018, Diepsloot Youth Project (DY Project) will be taking delivery of these state-of-the-art vehicles at the Diepsloot police station. DY Project is aimed at promoting youth development by providing them with opportunities to pursue education and gain employment. The project also tries to prevent youth crime by teaching them life skills and encouraging them to turn to law enforcement for help if they need it.

In an attempt to make this project even more sustainable, the cars will be used for patrolling the area around Diepsloot police station during night hours and early morning hours when kids come out from their homes and play on streets. This is not only good news for child safety but also a sign of commitment from the authorities towards making sure that kids are safe and secure in our neighborhood.
