Life can be so confusing for 13-year-old Tiffini Geldenhuys when she suddenly finds herself in police custody. After stealing a can of soda from the nearby minimart, Tiffini is unsure what to make of the strange atmosphere. So she tries her luck talking to Officer Koos, who seems friendly enough and endearingly absentminded. But there’s no time for chatting when the station’s been alerted about a robbery commotion in progress nearby! Quickly, Tiffini makes a run for it with Officer Koos hot on her heels. But will he catch up before she disappears?
This comedy drama show featuring young people in crisis gives us an entertaining insight into their lives and how they deal with situations like these. For Tiffini, this experience is one that she’ll never forget – and hopefully learn from!
A youth project to help juveniles in the Diepsloot area. The Youth Project has helped many of these children acquire education, find jobs, and transform their lives for the better. This project is supported by SAPS Diepsloot Police Station, which also provides guidance and help to run the program smoothly.
We don’t know about you, but when we hear the word ‘project’, we think of something that is long-term and full of hope. Diepsloot Youth Project is a long-term project which aims to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children and adolescents by providing them with necessary services and resources. Located in South Africa, this project has been helping children thrive for over a decade now!
Do your part by supporting these amazing kids! Give more than just money but time too. Help build their confidence, teach them life skills, and give them a chance to succeed.
We often see in the news that a youth has been killed or injured in some way. The unfortunate incidents and crimes committed by them makes one wonder what drives such youngsters to be so criminal. In this project, we understand the need for an answer to that question and are working towards changing their mindset and making them more responsible citizens.
DYP Diepsloot runs free youth programs where they teach life skills like decision-making, problem solving, and communication to these troubled youth. They also offer them opportunities to engage with their local communities and take part in community development initiatives. With their passion for making a difference, we know these kids will go on to make positive impacts on society!
