Diepsloot Youth Project lauds the youth of Diepsloot for their incessant efforts in contributing to the growth of the area. The skills development center, extension 10, has been established to reach out to them and facilitate their endeavor.

A skill for success is a life time skill. That’s why we’ve launched the Diepsloot Youth Project to help young people from underprivileged backgrounds acquire valuable skills and become stars of tomorrow. The project aims to empower them with new skills so that they can find employment and lead an independent life.

The Diepsloot Youth Project aims to provide education in vocational skills, like tailoring and welding, as well as soft skills, like communication and teamwork, in a fun environment that prepares them for the future. Our dedication to their success will make them great assets to society!

Youth unemployment is a serious issue in South Africa. And Diepsloot Youth Project has come up with a solution for this growing problem. The project aims at providing job-oriented skills development and employment to youth in the community, thereby changing their lives for the better. The Skills Development Center – Diepsloot Extension 10 is a new venture that has been created by Diepsloot Youth Project and offers an exciting opportunity to young people to acquire marketable skills while also gaining valuable work experience.

The center provides participants with an intensive program over a period of 12 weeks that addresses important skills such as interpersonal communication, negotiation, time management, budgeting, health and safety, and much more. Not only will participants learn these skills but they will develop the confidence needed to succeed in the workplace too.

While the center focuses on getting young people off welfare rolls and into steady employment, it is also interested in mentoring younger children on life skills such as budgeting, managing debt, applying for jobs etc.

Home is where you feel most comfortable, but that doesn’t have to be the case at all. At Diepsloot Youth Project we believe that home should be a place where you can feel safe and secure. We are proud to say that we provide that feeling to our clients every day.

Our young clients come to us with a wide range of challenges and needs, and we work hard to meet them all. We offer a comprehensive range of services and programs designed to address the individual needs of our residents. Our youth project offers a variety of services including education, recreation, job training, career development, and more.
