DYPF is working towards empowering the youth of Diepsloot to take control of their own lives by providing them with the resources they need to live a happy and fulfilling life. Youth Project Diepsloot offers a variety of programs that help young people develop important life skills, such as financial literacy and self-confidence, while also providing them with opportunities to get involved in community activities.

Growing up in a big city is expensive and difficult. You have to take care of your studies, stay fit and make friends with ease. All these are possible at Diepsloot Youth Project (DY). We’re an initiative that came up with the idea of bringing together the youth of Diepsloot with every business owner in one place. And what better way to do that than by holding an annual youth business summit?

Every year, we gather youth from all over the city and invite them to participate in productive discussions about various aspects of running a successful, sustainable business. We teach them all the ins-and-outs necessary to succeed in this competitive world, while helping them build their own skillset and network. And why not? After all, isn’t it important for all our young entrepreneurs to feel confident and empowered?

In partnership with the City of Johannesburg, this youth empowerment project provides an engaging education environment where young people can develop a foundation for future success. They learn about entrepreneurship, financial literacy, team-building strategies, and more.

Through workshops and group discussions, they learn how to optimize their budgeting, marketing, and sales strategies. And because they’re building their own businesses from the ground up, they understand the importance of developing a plan before taking any major steps forward.
