Diepsloot is one of the poshest slums in South Africa. It has world-class hotels, restaurants, and malls and is also home to many celebrities and politicians. While being surrounded by all this luxury, a large number of children living here are vulnerable and at risk of abuse, exploitation, and neglect. That’s where Diepsloot Youth Project comes in!

Inspired by the desire to bring about a change in the lives of these children, the project was started by a local charity called Kids 1st Foundation in 2014. Today, they provide young people with education, healthcare, and a safe haven where they can thrive. They also engage them in meaningful activities that will help them rebuild their lives and become successful citizens of tomorrow.
