The youth of the Diepsloot community is in crisis. Struggling to find jobs, they are forced to work on their own without any guidance. Though they have a plethora of resources at their disposal, they find these resources inaccessible. The only way out is through a Youth Project. Where can they go to get employment? Who will guide them and help them understand their rights as a part of this society?

Diepsloot Youth Project is a non-profit organization working towards empowering the marginalised youth of Diepsloot. We believe that every individual has the innate potential to succeed, and we aim to help them realize their potential by teaching them skills, fostering their confidence, and providing opportunities for growth. Through our programs and services, we offer a pathway towards a better future for the youth of Diepsloot.
We all have our own stories to tell, and Diepsloot Youth Project believes that every individual should be heard and represented. So, they’ve created a platform where people can say their piece, share their experiences and know that they’re not alone.
DYP wants you to know first-hand about how discrimination and marginalization affect people’s lives. It’s important to acknowledge that these issues exist, and we want you join us in making a difference in the world by spreading awareness of these issues.
Diepsloot is a marginalised neighbourhood in Johannesburg that has been depicted time and again as a hotbed for crime and violence. But this perception is slowly changing as the Youth Project of Diepsloot takes steps to change the lives of those living there. The youth project offers education, healthcare, and other services to these underprivileged youth in an effort to build them a better future.
