From petty disputes over a piece of chicken to shooting and mugging, this neighbourhood has been known for crime, drug abuse, and gang wars. With the utmost concern, we build houses here so that young men and women can live in peace and safety.

Diepsloot is one of the most unsafe areas in Cape Town. Young men, women, and children are being raped and killed on a daily basis.
When Diepsloot Youth Project heard about this, we knew we had to act. Our team is on the ground everyday, ensuring that people are safe and that the perpetrators are caught. From organizing community watches to teaching people how to report crime safely, we’re making Diepsloot a safer place for everyone.

Diepsloot is a beautiful, multicultural neighborhood in Johannesburg. But its reputation has suffered recently due to crime and gang violence. That’s why we’re launching Diepsloot Youth Project, a program that aims to change perceptions about the area and empower its residents to take action.
DYP will bring together young leaders from all walks of life to collaborate on projects that improve their community. Participants will learn new skills, gain leadership experience, and make a real difference in their lives and the lives of others. We hope that when they leave our program, they’ll be ready to take on the challenges that lie ahead!
Diepsloot is a neighborhood in Johannesburg that is facing many challenges. It has one of the highest crime rates in the city, with over 100 robberies happening every month.
Many people consider leaving their homes when darkness falls, but it’s not as scary as you think! Join Diepsloot Youth Project and learn how to stay safe when it gets dark.
