Have you ever wondered what life is like for a young person living in Diepsloot?

We have and we decided to do something about it. To make a difference, we started the Diepsloot Youth Project International Water Sanitation and Hygiene Foundation (IWSH). The goal of this project is to provide young people with access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene so that they can live a healthy life.

Youth are the future, but the youth of Diepsloot aren’t getting that message. They’re committing crimes and dropping out of schools because they have no hope for a better tomorrow. But that’ll all change soon if we have anything to do with it.

Diepsloot Youth Project International Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Foundation is setting out to change this narrative by providing sustainable solutions to problems afflicting the youth in Diepsloot. Pilot programs like these provide needy children with access to quality education, healthcare, and social services so they can realize their full potential. And that’s why we’re proud to be a part of it!

When the water supply is erratic, it often leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to ensuring your personal hygiene. But thanks to the Diepsloot Youth Project International Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Foundation), you now know that you don’t have to compromise on both civic and personal hygiene. Its pilot initiative in Diepsloot, South Africa has been extending high-quality sanitation facilities since 2012. The foundation aims to provide 100% clean water, 100% proper sewage disposal, and 100% hygienic toilets for all households in the area. It has so far installed more than 2200 toilets and 740 water taps in the neighborhood where the project is taking place.

The International Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Foundation (iWASH) is proud to partner with Diepsloot Youth Project on their pilot project to provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene services to vulnerable children living in Diepsloot township. Through this project, we are helping these children live longer and healthier lives by providing them with access to vital resources that will enable them to continue their education, participate more fully in society, and reach their full potential.
