The youth there are also turning into criminals, intimidating people and causing fear among the locals. This has to end and we will end it together. Diepsloot is known to be the most dangerous township in South Africa. There is no doubt about it, but that doesn’t stop us from living life to its fullest.

The Youth Project takes aim at changing perceptions and rebuilding community links; they’re working towards building a safer neighborhood where everyone feels safe and respected. Funded by local businesses and government, this project is making a difference on a daily basis. Don’t let the statistics stop you from giving back!

DYP has successfully passed on all kinds of skill-based training, from cooking to counselling, through its various workshops and programs. They have also made it their mission to help young people gain financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills so that they can be self-reliant as they grow up.

That’s why Diepsloot Youth Project exists to help young people find their way in a complicated world. With programs that offer education, counseling, and leisure activities, DYPRO is there for the young people of Diepsloot when they need it most.

DFR-E program is one such initiative where participants are taught about the importance of education and mental health. The group chats on WhatsApp almost every day, sharing tips and helpful information on how to navigate life’s challenges as a growing teenage brain.
