Children growing up in a remote township or in a slum are severely affected by the absence of basic amenities like schools, health centers, and parks. While these facilities may be available nearby, they usually cater to people living in the vicinity. Diepsloot Youth Project aims to change this perception and bridge the gap between the children and their surroundings through various programs. As part of its KLIPTOWN & DIEPSLOOT initiative, it has been constructing school buildings and sports grounds for years now as a part of its continuous effort towards creating a safe, secure environment for them to grow in.

Most people dream of changing their life for the better. But what about changing your neighborhood? Changing your city? Changing the world? For Diepsloot youth, that’s exactly what they do every day!

DYP KLIPTOWN & DIEPSLOOT is a project run by Diepsloot Youth Project, a non-profit organization that strives to make a difference in the lives of deserving children and adolescents. The project provides these young people with an opportunity to give something back. By participating in DYP, they not only develop important life skills, but also gain confidence and self-esteem while making a positive impact on their community.

Diepsloot Youth Project (DYP) is a collective effort from various youth groups who want to make a difference in their local communities. The Diepsloot area of Klipvooru has become notorious for crime and violence, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible to change this negative perception.

DYP is about changing the way people think about crime and violence and tackling these issues head-on so that they no longer exist in our communities. Join us in our efforts to make Klipvooru and Diepsloot a better place!

Who says it’s impossible to turn your life around? Not many do, but the Diepsloot Youth Project is proof that it can be done. The project was started in 2011 by a group of students with a drive to change their community for the better. To begin with, they wanted to put an end to youth crime in their area, and they did it through innovative methods. No more do local youth have to run away from law enforcement agencies; now, they have a safe haven right under their feet! A place where they can live without fear, learn new skills, and get themselves back on track.
