Even though schools have classes from 9-12, there’s still a lot of learning that can be done outside of the conventional timetable. For this reason, Diepsloot Youth Project has set up schools in which students can attend classes for subjects like mathematics and science. Enrolled students will be provided with books as well as other educational resources, and teachers and mentors are also available to assist them with any questions they might have about their studies.

The youth project is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm daily, and sources of income include donations from local companies and individuals, meaning that no student is left out because of lack of resources or funds. Schools in Diepsloot are not just places where kids learn; they are also places where kids help others learn.

The Diepsloot Youth Project is a special initiative that was started way back in 2001 by the education department of Diepsloot Municipality. The main aim of the project is to make learning more interesting and exciting for students by introducing them to new concepts and tools in science and maths. Children are made to participate with their hands-on activities and projects, which help them develop their creativity as well as thinking skills. All this makes the youth project a perfect addition to your child’s school career!
