Diepsloot Youth Project is a non-profit organisation that provides free education and vocational training to disadvantaged youth. Each year, they host a large learning festival where thousands of learners attend classes in art, music, dance, cooking, and more. The festival also features live performances by some of the world’s most popular artists.
DYP is changing lives one learner at a time through their programs and events. They are making a difference in South Africa’s youth development by providing them with the opportunity to learn new skills and develop their talents.
With 25% of the youth in South Africa facing education-related challenges, we decided to make a difference. That’s why we’re hosting the Diepsloot Youth Project Learning Festival. The aim of this festival is to bring together youth from all over South Africa who are looking for ways to improve their skills and educational attainment.
The first day of the festival saw 80 participants come together to learn new skills, participate in fun activities, and even take part in real-life simulations! It was a day full of laughter and excitement that will surely stick with them for years to come.
The learning festival is all about education and development. It aims at creating a new generation of thinkers and leaders by providing them with quality education in the fields of arts, science, and humanities, through classes and workshops held every month. The Youth Project gives children the freedom to explore while teaching them valuable life skills. This year, they will be hosting a variety of workshops and classes, so join us and be a part of changing the world!
What is a festival without food and fun? Well, here you have it! The Diepsloot Youth Project Learning Festival was held with the aim of engaging young people in education. Spread across 3 days, the event featured exciting programs like music, art, and information sessions that kept participants engaged and entertained. ‘Diepsloot Youth Project’ is a non-profit organization that strives to change the lives of underprivileged youth living in slums by offering them an avenue to education and development. Through their various programs, they help young people overcome their barriers and become productive citizens in their community.
