Youth are the biggest consumers of products and services, and it is important to educate them about their rights. The Diepsloot Youth Project takes this responsibility seriously by making Diepsloot people aware of their rights! Youth volunteers teach classes daily on topics like the law, child labour laws, health care, etc. They also conduct awareness campaigns where they explain to the people of Diepsloto the importance of having basic amenities such as water and electricity in their homes.

Rampant corruption and apathy is turning Diepsloot into a slum. Children learn nothing and adults have no self-respect due to lack of awareness, says Amardip Singh. We must change this mindset. That’s why we started Diepsloot Youth Project in 2010, with the goal of making people aware of their rights and responsibilities as citizens of South Africa. We do this by running workshops on topics like safety, health, hygiene and other issues that affect the quality of life in Diepslott.

Through these workshops we want everyone to see a world where everyone has equal opportunities and lives with dignity. Join us!

This is the first Youth Project in Diepsloot, Mpumalanga. It aims to make people aware of their rights and provide them with a platform where they can voice their concerns. The project was set up by two young girls from Diepsloot who wanted to change the way things were being done in this township town! They saw that there was so much need for a platform like this, where people can come together and voice their problems without any fear of repercussions. For months, they have been organizing various programs under this project to create awareness among the residents of Diepsloot on various topics and help them get out of troubled lives as soon as possible.
