Youth in the neighbourhood need a platform where they can gather and discuss their safety concerns. That is why we are organising a community policing forum in the area of Diepsloot.

We want to encourage the youth to register for the forum, and understand their rights as citizens. Please spread the word about this event and let us know how we can improve next year!

In the neighbourhood where crime has historically been known to thrive, the residents have come together to push back.

After a spate of robberies in the area, the residents of Diepsloot decided to take matters into their own hands. They came together to form a local policing forum that would help them monitor and report criminal activity in their area. The forum meets regularly to organise community watch groups, share information about suspicious activities, and work as a team to keep their neighbourhood safe.

Spread awareness about crime prevention methods that work! Install surveillance cameras in your home or give out Crime Stoppers tips anonymously on how you can keep your neighbourhood safe. Together we can make Diepsloot a safer place for all!

Youth in the community have a lot to contribute, and it’s time we started appreciating them. Youth are our future, after all. With that in mind, today is a refreshing day for the youth of Diepsloot – and it’s all thanks to the Diepsloot Youth Project!

This forum is all about empowering young people and getting them involved in maintaining peace and order in their neighbourhood. By teaching them how to effectively navigate through conflict situations, they’ll soon be masters of the art. Moreover, by forming groups that work towards making their area safer for everyone, these kids will surely go a long way in making Diepsloot one of the safest cities in South Africa!

Youth are our future, and we want to make sure they have a bright one! The Diepsloot Youth Project is all set to help young people in the area build a better tomorrow by coming together and engaging with the community. On Tuesday, 1st March, more than 40 youth from Diepsloot came together at the Policing Forum organised by the project. They discussed various topics related to youth development, self-development, and community policing. The forum also paved way for possible partnerships with various organisations that can help empower them even further.

Our youth are our future; let’s work towards building a brighter one for them!

Youth of tomorrow is being formed in every neighborhood, community and village. They’re the future leaders of tomorrow, and they need us to be their guides and mentors. To that end, we’ve come up with a program called ‘Community Policing Forum,’ which aims to create a sense of belonging within the neighborhood and foster a culture of respect and caring. With this program, we want our youth to know that they have a home with us – no matter what – and that we’ll do everything in our power to make sure they feel safe, secure and cared for.
