Diepsloot is known for being the most crime-ridden neighbourhood in South Africa. And while we have seen a lot of police presence there, the issue of crime continues to be rampant. In fact, there have been several incidences in the recent past that have taken place right under their eyes and ears.

The youth of Diepsloot need to understand that standing up against crime is not just important but also a moral responsibility. If you witness something untoward happening in your neighbourhood, please report it to the nearest police station or call Crime Stop toll free number on 08600100. Your contribution can make a difference towards making the area safer for all citizens.

Diepsloot is one neighborhood that has long been trying to get the attention of the police department. In 2017, there’s a new perspective on crime and policing in Diepsloot. Youth Project is helping kids feel safe and secure in the area. It started as a pilot project under the guidance of Mayor Albert Rooi, who believes that by empowering youth, we create a future-ready society. The project aims at creating positive youth leaders by teaching them life skills such as communication, leadership, and self-worth through various activities like workshops and camps. This year also sees more cops in Diepsloot after Mayor Rooi demanded that they increase their presence in the area to drive out criminals and corruption.

Crime may still thrive there but at least there’s peace now thanks to Youth Project.

A crime-free neighborhood is what every resident wants, but with the increasing police presence in a place, it doesn’t seem to be a reality anymore. That’s why many feel that the best way to keep their area free of crime and corruption is by working towards creating youth programs for them.

Diepsloot Youth Project has been working towards this goal for years now, and with more police in the space, they feel more empowered to work on furthering this cause. They believe that when youth programs are available to young people in a community, help can be found no matter what situation they’re facing. And they know this because they’ve experienced it themselves first-hand!

It’s time to put an end to crime in Diepsloot! Police have been deployed more in the vicinity and crime has reduced. But this hasn’t stopped juveniles from terrorizing the area with their mischievous antics. Learn about your rights and how to stand up against criminal elements through the Youth Project.

This unique initiative brings together law enforcement, residents, and schools to create a safe, sustainable community where youth know they are valued members of their society. By teaching them about their rights and responsibilities as citizens, they are empowered to make positive choices that will lead them towards a successful future.
