Do you know that every time there is a fire, a child dies?
And what do you know about the children in Diepsloot? What do they go through day-to-day? How are they impacted by violence, abuse and exploitation? What’s their story? Diepsloot Youth Project (DY Project) is an initiative to empower these children, to help them develop and grow into responsible adults. With Tanganani, DY Project aims to give them the skills and knowledge necessary for a brighter future.
Did you know that over 70% of children in South Africa go to bed hungry every day? Youth Project Tanganani aims to change this by providing a nutritious meal to those in need. Over the past 7 years, they have fed thousands of children, and today, it is one of their biggest fundraisers.

When you think about giving back to the community, Tanganani Youth Project is the perfect choice. When a young person gets involved in crime, their first port of call is usually a youth project or rehabilitation facility. It’s where they get the support they need to turn their lives around and become responsible adults. But that’s not all the Tanganani Youth Project does – they also help to improve the lives of children in Diepsloot by providing them with access to world-class education.
As an organization dedicated to helping those in need, it’s important that we do everything we can to give back as much as possible. That’s why we choose Diepsloot Youth Project – because they understand what it takes to change lives for the better.
Diepsloot Youth Project has been helping the less privileged since 2006. They organize different events, run charity shops, schools and clinics, and most importantly, they believe that every child deserves a proper chance at life.
They are an example of how you can make a difference in this world – even if it’s just one little change at a time.
You see a lot of kids on the streets with nothing to do. They spend their days in crime and gangs; they don’t know what to do with their lives. That’s why we decided to help them out and make them feel useful.
We’ve started Diepsloot Youth Project, where they teach kids how to be hackers, and they also teach kids sports and all other kinds of skills that can help them grow as a person. We’re trying our best to change their lives for good, and we hope you join us!
