We’re pleased to introduce you to Karen! Karen has been a member of the Diepsloot Youth Project Board since 2015. She brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion to the table, which is invaluable for the success of DYP.

Karen’s commitment to community-building and youth development is admirable, and we can’t wait to see what great things she accomplishes in the future!

With their sense of adventure and drive, youth possess natural leadership qualities that can be cultivated. Leaders learn from the best and are inspired by those who have already walked the path. On why she got involved, Karen said, “I believe in youth empowerment and think being a part of an organization like DYP is a great way to get involved. I look forward to meeting new people and learning from them.”

Karen is also a Youth Ambassador for DYP. With her positive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn, she is setting an example for others to follow. Watch out! You might be next!

Diepsloot Youth Project appreciates how Karen has dedicated her time towards the project. Her active participation in board meetings and coordination of campaigns is appreciated by all. She is a leader who understands the importance of mentorship and developmental programs for young people.
