Said it before? Guess again! This week, we are proud to share a project that is changing the lives of young people in Diepsloot. The Youth Project by Diepsloot Youth Project is a marvel of human ingenuity and perseverance. The project has only four schools across the township, but it operates on all seven days of the week. It offers free education, health services, food, and clothing to its students.
The project has made tremendous changes in the lives of young people since its inception five years ago. By teaching them valuable skills and imparting discipline, they have become productive members of society.
Diepsloot Youth Project is about creating a brighter future for young people living in the area. We want to empower them and give them the skills they need to succeed. But we can’t do that without your help!
Our schools are incredibly small, so we have a huge impact on each and every one of our students. We provide them with a quality education so they can reach their full potential. And we offer them support services like mentorship and access to health care when they need it most.
We believe that every child should have access to a safe school environment where they can learn and grow without fear. So we’re proud to sponsor Diepsloot Youth Project schools and programs – because we know that by investing in young people today, we’re building a bright future for tomorrow.
Did you know that there are only four schools in a township where almost 80% of the children don’t go to school? And, a majority of them drop out by Grade 5? No wonder, then, why Diepsloot Youth Project calls itself the ‘project’ of children and youth. What this youth project is all about is helping these children overcome the obstacles they face and give them an opportunity to succeed.
Diepsloot Youth Project is committed to providing education and other crucial services such as health care, nutrition and safe housing to the most vulnerable children and youths in Diepsloot. They understand the importance of investing in these young people and empowering them to reach their full potential.
Children in Diepsloot grow up in an atmosphere of conflict and violence, with both school and home suffering from extreme poverty.
They carry the burden of a community that doesn’t have time nor resources to support the future leaders that it needs. But there is hope for these children yet! A group of like-minded individuals decided to create a space where children can feel safe, valued, and appreciated. By creating a youth development project, they aim to raise up young leaders who will be able to change their own community for the better.
