Join us in planting trees on the outskirts of Diepsloot. These trees will help reduce air pollution and save our environment. The project is spearheaded by some of the best youth leaders in the area and is supported by many NGOs like CSA, SAWAD, etc. Kids aged between 10-13 years are involved in this project where they learn about sustainability and value of nature while they plant trees. We believe that by doing so, they will lead a greener life towards which everyone should strive for!

In the era of climate change, it is imperative to create a greener world for our future generations. Planting trees is one way of doing so, and we have partnered with Diepsloot Youth Project (DYP) in Johannesburg to implement this noble cause. DYP has been planting saplings for over 20 years and has so far planted more than 400 million trees worldwide. They are also pioneers in the field of youth forestry, teaching skills like tree identification, tree care etc., thus enabling young people to be leaders in ecology.

With support from Diepsloot’s patroness Mrs. Sipho Mchunu and her team at Sipho Mchunu Foundation, DYP will plant 50 seedlings on Wednesday morning on one hectare near Diepsloot Football Stadium. The project aims to provide young people with hands-on experience about ecology and sustainable development through their Tree planting programme that entails planting 500 saplings every year across South Africa till 2020.”

Everybody knows that planting a sapling is a good way to give back and make the world a greener place. But no one ever thinks of it as an important part of their lives. And if they do, they are just going through it with the flow and forgetting about its importance in the long run.

Not anymore! Our youth project has taken this art to another level altogether, where children hue and cry over planting saplings but remember them for years to come. DYP is your answer for all children who want to make a difference in our environment and environment-friendly solutions for all industries. Packing these kids on holidays ensures a sustainable future for generations to come
