The youth of Diepsloot want a change in their lives and are making it happen by working with Wings of Life. Youth from the project visit schools and clinics to spread awareness on mental health, nutrition, and drug abuse. They also visit homes and organize sports events.

Change takes time but change begins with you!

They say that when you know you’ve hit rock bottom, it’s time to turn things around. For some, this could mean changing jobs or looking for a new place to settle down. For others, it could simply mean picking up a hobby they’ve been postponing. Whatever the case, when you’re in the depths of despair, suddenly finding meaning in life can be the biggest break you’ve ever had.

Meet Diepsloot Youth Project – an organization that has given thousands of young people hope and a reason to smile again. With Wings of Life Diepsloot, they now have a long-term solution for their problems and are able to live a normal life like everyone else around them.

But where there is a will there is way – and this youth project proved it yet again by launching their own brand! They want to change perceptions about youth and make the world realize that they have so much more to offer than just being troublesome or aggressive.

It’s blissfully quiet outside the house but not at home. Your son or daughter is stuck inside and isn’t making any noise. You go in to check on them, only to find them fast asleep on their bed. This could be the day you see your child for first time in a day, and guess what? The wings of life Youth Project is ready for it. We’re an all-inclusive youth development programme that aims to encourage social and emotional growth among children through open dialogue, group activities, workshops, etc.

We provide a safe space where they can express themselves and feel seen without judgment or fear. We believe in creating a deep connection with other kids and families so that no one feels alone on this journey of self discovery.

Children are our future. They say that every child is a gift from God, and we believe it too.

So why not cheer up those little ones with a project that gives them wings by taking them on a flight of their own? Wings of Life Diepsloot is the youth project for you! Why take children out for a flight when you can get them airborne at home? It’s fun, safe and easy! All you need to do is buy some material, make sure your kid is wearing it and voila! You’ll have your very own aerobatic kid who’ll be cheering for more like that.

A youth project in Diepsloot has been making a difference to the lives of the underprivileged children there. The Wings of Life Diepsloot project was started by a group of volunteers who saw a need not being met by any other NGO. The founder, Prerna Sharma, gave up her corporate job to devote herself full-time to this cause.

She believes that every child deserves access to quality education and healthcare, and she sets out every day determined to make a difference. In addition to providing the children with these essentials, she also gives them life skills that will help them succeed in life. There’s no doubt about it – when Prerna says ‘Wings of Life’, she means it.
