Diepsloot Youth Project is one such initiative that is striving to end violence and promote values through education. In this video, we get an inside look at how they are making a difference in the community by teaching kids about personal safety and by involving them in developmental activities like cooking and tailoring.

Do you worry about the safety of your children while they’re out in the streets? Of course you do. Youth Project Diepsloot is working towards making a change and will soon have a youth safe-haven across all eight wards of the township where youth can go to for support and resources.

DYJP is committed to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community and creating a safe environment for them to live, play, and thrive. We stand together in solidarity against violence and injustice, so that our children can grow up in peace and harmony.

Diepsloot Youth Project has been worried about incidences of violence in their area. They believe that it is important to not only condemn such acts, but also to take steps to end them. That’s why they’re hosting a ‘Stop Violence’ walk on Saturday.

They want residents and visitors alike to stand together in the fight against all forms of violence. Let’s show that we refuse to tolerate or accept violence in any form!

Violence has no place in our community. And to see such acts taking place where you live is something that saddens and worries us. We know how precious the youth of our community is, so we have decided to do something about it.

We have started a campaign called ‘Stop Violence’. It’s time we all come together and show our concern for the safety of our youth by educating them about violence and its consequences. To spread awareness and bring positivity in every household, Diepsloot Youth Project has started a campaign where they will distribute pamphlets to everyone in the area with ideas on preventing violence.

Diepsloot is well known for its notorious reputation as a ‘gangster’s paradise’. The area has seen violence, crime and drug trafficking on a large scale. It is said that the youth of Diepsloot have been brainwashed to believe in this image and participate in such activities. This project by Diepsloot Youth Project wants to change this perception and make the youth know that there is another way of life.
