The project aims at providing Data capturing learnership to 50 disadvantaged youth of Diepsloot so that they can be employable by large companies once they complete their course.

Diepsloot Youth Project is a social initiative that aims to provide data capturing learnership to 50 disadvantaged youth in Diepsloot. The project is funded by donations and has been running for over two years now. Learning IT helps learners acquire the skills they need to enter the workforce, participate in society, take ownership of their lives and become productive members of their community. In return for learning IT, participants commit themselves to volunteering 10 hours per week at one of four local organisations – YMCA, community centre or Childline base – while they learn new skills. The project is run by experienced trainers who are committed to providing young people with the practical skills they need to pursue a successful career path within South Africa’s often strained economy.
