Every day, 30 young women living in Diepsloot face gender-based violence. They are subjected to sexual assaults, physical abuse and humiliation. Women like them deserve our support. That’s why we are donating to Diepsloot Youth Project today. We will stand in solidarity with these brave girls who have been taught to be strong and unbreakable. We will show them that their voices matter and that they have the power to change the world around them for the better.

We need to talk about gender-based violence. It exists everywhere, but sadly, it’s not talked about as much as it should be. That’s why we’ve decided to raise awareness in the simplest way possible – by collecting donations and funding for a worthy cause. This time around, we’re supporting 30 young women who are victims of gender-based violence. They don’t have anyone else they can turn to when things get tough and they need help!

30 young women are at risk of sexual and gender based violence in Diepsloot. These girls are victims of triple oppression – they are poor, female and from an ethnic or religious minority group. Their lives have been shattered by brutal acts committed against them every day.
