Farming has always been a difficult, long-lasting job but still an occupation that demands respect and dignity.

But with the help of Diepsloot Youth Projects, small-scale farmers are getting education on new technologies and ways in which they can improve their yield. Using that knowledge, they are able to work smarter and increase their profit margins.

We believe that if we educate our youth, there will be no more future generation who will have to suffer from lack of basic amenities like food or water. With you by our side, we can create a world where everyone has enough for themselves without having to depend on someone else for it. Let’s change the world!

Who says that farming is a dying trade? No, you say. And so do we! Farming has always been an important part of South Africa’s economy, but let’s face it – the world has changed, and so have farmers and farming techniques.

With Diepsloot Youth Projects’ help, however, this might start changing for the better soon. Because DYP is going to teach small-scale farmers about new farming techniques and equip them with the necessary knowledge required to thrive in today’s climate-conscious market.

Exciting stuff! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to support a cause that means so much to us.

Most of us have heard about the importance of sustainable farming, but what does it mean? Precisely, it means producing food with minimal impact on the environment and keeping animals in humane conditions. However, this is not easy for a small farmer to do because he or she does not have the financial resources to set up systems and tools that will help them maintain high-level productivity. But Diepsloot Youth Projects has come up with a solution to this problem by providing education regarding sustainable farming methods and animal husbandry. Education is a powerful tool when it comes to change, so why don’t we use it?

Are you ready to make a difference?

We’re all familiar with the phrase ‘eat your own cake’. Diepsloot Youth Projects is here to end this saying and make everyone understand that food comes from the ground.

The project was founded in 2014 by Michael Thumothodi, who has a passion for sustainable farming and understanding of the needs of small-scale farmers. The project teaches local kids about growing, harvesting, marketing and cooking food products on a global scale. They also educate them on environmental issues related to agriculture.

Education is the key to unlocking the potential of any individual. At Diepsloot Youth Projects, we believe that education is the best solution for promoting a sustainable and prosperous agricultural sector in South Africa. We aim to provide support to individuals who would like to start their own businesses but lack both financial knowledge and access to capital.

Through our Education Program, we empower small-scale farmers by educating them about all aspects of running a successful farm business. We provide information on how they can improve production, marketing strategies, and animal husbandry practices. Our volunteers also assist them with bookkeeping, financial planning, and other related tasks that will help make their businesses thrive.
