Global warming is destroying the world we live in. But what about the things you can’t see? What about the changes that are happening inside your body and mind?
It turns out, environmental change is affecting all levels of life, from animals to humans. And it’s having a serious impact on our health.
In 2017 alone, extreme weather events like hurricanes and wildfires have caused over $300 billion in damages around the world. Health experts say that this could be just the beginning of a new climate crisis – one that threatens our mental health as much as it threatens our planet’s survival.
Feeling helpless and hopeless about the effects of climate change on our planet? Well, we have a solution: get involved!
The Diepsloot Youth Project is an initiative that aims to empower youth by teaching them the importance of environmental conservation. In partnership with the local government, it has started a special program for children aged 7-15 where they learn about climate change and ways to tackle it. They also attend workshops on health issues related to global warming. Children are taught how they can reduce their carbon footprint while also helping save trees and other precious resources.
If you’re tired of hearing doom-and-gloom predictions by scientists, join us in taking action now!
We are all aware of the negative effects of climate change, but how do we factor these in when it comes to youth? Through a new partnership between Diepsloot Youth Project and the Global Environmental Facility (GEF), children can now take on this issue as a topic to understand.
With GEF funding, DYP is building a school that will be made entirely from recycled materials. This will help children understand where their materials come from and what they can do with them after they have been fixed up. They will also get an opportunity to see how climate change affects our environment and health too.
The world is facing unprecedented challenges in terms of environment and climate change. Children are the most vulnerable among us, and they need our protection more than ever before. Diepsloot Youth Project has been working tirelessly to ensure that children’s health is protected by an increasing number of initiatives including promoting awareness on the importance of maintaining good health and the effects of pollution.
The youth project has been a source of inspiration for many people, who want to make a difference and help others out. We hope that you will join us as we work towards making a better world for all to live in!
We all know that our planet is changing, and we need to take action. Diepsloot Youth Project has found an innovative way to address the climate change issue through their initiative ‘Environment, Climate Change and Health’.
DYP believes that climate change is a health issue. It affects air quality, water resources and long-term food security. If we don’t take action now, it will get worse in future. Therefore, it’s important for us to have a plan of action for sustainability. DYP understands that this takes time and effort but also believes in its ability to effect positive changes in individual lives as well as the community at large towards sustainable living practices.
