Dasos is an acronym that means to not just have a closer eye on your health, but also to consider its importance. The youth projects of Diepsloot has been working towards this goal from the beginning and are continuously sending out scouts for more eyes on the ground.
In their quest for knowledge, they have also been conducting research about HIV and AIDS in South Africa and assisting patients with other concomitant diseases or referring them where appropriate.
They believe that everyone deserves equal access to quality health care and are committed to treating all individuals respectfully, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation. They strive for ‘every life counts’!
Youth empowerment and entrepreneurship come together to create useful changes in the society. That’s what happens when you see this group of young volunteers with HIV+ diseases or the general population. Academics are a thing of the past for them, but they know how important it is to spread awareness about this disease and to make sure that people who have it get access to quality healthcare services. What does it take? Only a little bit of time, dedication, and commitment from these young minds!
