It’s not easy being a cancer patient, but it’s even harder when you’re also HIV+. Youth projects like Diepsloot Youth Projects strive to understand and meet the needs of patients like you. By taking blood samples at specified intervals, they help detect changes in your viral load and track progress. They also offer counseling sessions for those suffering from both conditions, so that you feel supported along the way.

Most of us are aware that a high number of STDs are found among youth in the slums. But what is the reason behind it? Is there any way we can help these patients? Yes! We at Diepsloot Youth Projects believe in giving each and every patient equal amount of love and care. That’s why, we’ve created ‘Identify Patients Due for Viral Loads’ initiative where we collect blood samples from kids suffering from HIV/AIDS to track their health status. By collecting samples monthly, we can see if they’re getting better or not and also monitor them for complications related to HIV/AIDS. It’s a small step towards making our world a safer place for all!

When it comes to patient care, Diepsloot Youth Projects have all the right answers. Not only do they take blood samples from patients every month, but they also identify those who are due for Viral Loads. For safety and convenience, the health center has a separate area for these patients to wait before heading out for their tests. And when it comes to technology, DYP is fully equipped with everything from computer stations to internet access. All you need is an ID card and a mobile phone that works in the area.
