It’s not just a case of taking the obvious steps. When you’re working with children who have been robbed of their childhood and robbed of their futures, you need to be more creative than ever. Diepsloot Youth Projects is doing just that, by implementing remedial plans that address gaps in education as well as clinical facilities. Not only are they improving life for these kids, but they’re also changing the narrative about what we make great next-gen leaders out of them (:

Youth and children are the future of our society, and they deserve every opportunity. At Diepsloot Youth Projects we believe in giving them a chance to be productive members of the community. That’s why we implement remedial plans that address identified gaps so that these kids can have an equal shot at success. But we’re not just talking about education here – we’re also working with our facility team to provide vocational training so that they can find a fulfilling career. We know how important it is for these kids to feel valued and cared for, so we make it our priority to give them all the support they need. If you see someone who deserves a chance, let us know!

Youth crime is on the rise and can have a devastating effect on families. It’s important that local governments take action to prevent it. Partnering with Diepsloot Youth Projects has helped us identify gaps in our services and implement remedial plans to address them. We’re providing additional support for families who need it most, and we’ve installed cameras in the youth center so we can keep an eye on things there too. But it won’t be enough if we don’t work together to tackle this problem head-on. Together, we can make a difference!

Together with the facility team, we’ve explored ways to provide more support and resources for your participants so that they can get the most out of their time at Diepsloot Youth Projects. You can’t chase someone out of a building. You have to give them a job, so they will be able to afford their own accommodation one day. Or you have to help them find somewhere they can live on their own. In order words, you have to help people get back on track and make sure they are ready for the future. And that’s what Diepsloot Youth Projects has been doing since 2011 when it was founded by young people themselves. With support from DLP, these projects provide opportunities for youth who might otherwise be excluded from society because of their age or background. Through work experience programs and educational counseling, we are able to give them the chance to gain skills and knowledge that will enable them to break free from poverty and lead productive lives in the future.”
