The Diepsloot Youth Project has helped hundreds of young South Africans find their footing in life. Portia Ramaselele is one such success story who was brought to the project by a friend. With her guidance and help, Portia discovered her passion and purpose, and is now thriving in life. Her words of wisdom are applicable to all youth: ‘Don’t let your past define you, instead make it your driving force in life. All that you have been through is a learning experience; don’t lose hope because there’s more to come.’

Portia Ramaselele is all set to change her community’s fate, and do it in a decade! The Diepsloot 2021 success story has begun, and what an inspiration she is. Portia has always cleaned up the place with enthusiasm and enthusiasm, as if it were her own house. She loves making people smile and make them feel happy because of her efforts.

She really makes us proud by being a part of DYP. Each day, she takes the initiative and gives 100 percent, so that our youth can get a glimpse of their future in Diepsloot, where they can be anything they want to be and grow into something bigger.

Every success story has a beginning. For Portia, it was when she was a young girl growing up in tough circumstances. Like many young people in South Africa today, she faced challenges at school and home, but what set her apart was her dream of one day becoming a professional soccer player. To make this aspiration a reality, she joined Diepsloot Youth Project, where she is now on the path to success.

DYP provides children with access to education and life skills so that they can become successful and empowered citizens of tomorrow. Through innovative programming that includes small-group learning, sports programs, and community service projects, DYP aims to provide children with the tools they need to reach their full potential. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, our team works hard every day to ensure that we are providing our youth with everything they need to succeed in life.

With her stellar academic record and leadership skills, Portia is sure to become a shining star of the future.
