Diepsloot Youth Projects (DYP) is a local youth organization with the mission to empower and engage at-risk youth in South Africa. DYP’s powerful communication model and mental model of engagement helps create change by empowering young people to take an active role in eradicating violence, insecurity, and poverty. Through programs that include education, mentoring, health and safety training, job creation and entrepreneurship development, DYP is transforming lives one community at a time.

The company understands that every child is unique. They believe in the power of words to make a difference, so they use their skills as communicators to observe and understand each child’s personality, strengths, and challenges to provide them with the best possible experience.
Conversational English classes are held on Saturdays, where children enjoy playing games together while learning how to express themselves in English. Once a week they attend Computer Classes where they learn how to use the internet safely while also improving their computer typing speed and accuracy skills. And last but not least is our Youth Club where children get involved in sports activities and other fun activities like dance class etc.
