The human body is the most complex machine in the world. But when it comes to HIV, a simple blood test can be enough to explain its complexity. That’s why we’re encouraging everyone who is willing to take action against this virus – and by extension, preventing its transmission – by letting them know that they are HIV-positive and have everything they need to live a healthy life.

For us, self-awareness and education go hand in hand with prevention work. We believe that knowing your status is empowering; it gives you ownership over your health and information about what you can do to keep yourself safe from the disease. Today we are all aware of the fact that every year over 23 million people die because of AIDS. The young generation is least hit due to the widespread use of condoms and awareness, but in many cases, it is never-the-less a silent killer taking lives. This project poses as a solution for this problem.

This project provides HIV screening kits and index testing services at convenient locations in Diepsloot. The kit is easy to use by anyone without much training because it comes with step-by-step guidance on how to use it. Once filling the form, you can directly book an appointment with the doctors at your neighborhood clinic where they will perform tests for HIV antibodies in your blood sample. Not only does this project promote safe sex, but also lowers chances of contracting HIV from people who have been tested and are aware about their health status!
