We all know that the internet is a great place to learn new things and make friends. But, what happens when children start using it for wrong purposes? That’s where Diepsloot Youth Project comes in! We’ve been hearing reports of children getting lured into seedy websites and apps that can ruin their lives forever. That’s why we are spreading awareness about these sites so that parents can be aware of what their kids are accessing online.

We also want to teach them ways to stay safe on the internet. So, every month, we organize a workshop for our volunteers where we teach them everything they need to know about internet safety.

When you think of children, do you just think of cute pictures and cuddly toys? Well, we know that a child’s life is more than just fun and games. Youth Project Diepsloot wants to change this perception and introduce the world to a new definition of childhood. In fact, their motto is: ‘Youth for all!’ They believe in promoting respect towards children wherever they are. So whenever an opportunity arises, they take up the cause with gusto!

Online bullying can be a silent killer, but Diepsloot Youth Project is here to fight back! In partnership with Mozilla, DYP‘s aim is to provide children with the necessary tools and resources they need to navigate the digital world safely. For this reason, they decided to create a resource center that offers tips on how navigate online safely and effectively.

Diepsloft Youth Project has also partnered with various companies in the US to spread awareness of online safety and explore ways in which it can be incorporated into schools. The youth project has created a portal where teachers and parents can register themselves for online safety classes so as to equip them with knowledge on how best to deal with cyber-bullying cases at school.
