In Diepsloot, ‘youth’ has many layers. The word carries different meanings to different people, but there’s one meaning that unites us all – a sense of openness, curiosity, and possibility. That’s why we founded Diepsloot Youth Project way back in 2012 – to create space for youth to explore the world around them and discover what makes them unique.

In our program, you’ll be surrounded by like-minded individuals who are excited about learning new things and making the most of their lives. We believe that everyone has the potential to accomplish great things – even if you’re new to the city or country – so let’s explore together!

We believe that every child deserves the best start in life. That’s why we’re proud to be a part of Diepsloot – a community where kids can feel safe and where they can thrive. Kids come to us for tutoring and educational classes, but they also stay for our art and sports programs. We want them to know that they are valued members of our community, and that they can reach their full potential no matter what path they choose.

From tutoring classes to sporting events, we offer a variety of activities so that children can stay engaged in their community. Our volunteers are friendly and dedicated teachers who want nothing more than to make sure that every kid is getting the best possible education.

Youth unemployment is a major problem in our country. When you are unemployed, you are forced to hand over your weekends to finding a new job. Youth unemployment stands at 30%. What if we tell you that there’s a youth project taking place in the area where these youth live? Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Meet Diepsloot Youth Project – an initiative formed by locals and supported by big names in the community.

This project aims to create employment opportunities for the youth of Diepsloot through various initiatives such as skill-building, entrepreneurial development, and youth empowerment programs.

Youth live on the streets, and they are more vulnerable than ever before. They are subject to abuse and exploitation, and many of them become trapped in a vicious cycle of crime, substance abuse, and re-offending.

At Diepsloot Youth Project, we understand that youth need comprehensive services that address all aspects of their lives. We offer services like education, employment, health care, and community engagement so that they can become successful members of society. Our goal is to empower youth so that they can take control of their lives and build a safer future for themselves.

The Diepsloot Youth Project is the only organization in South Africa that operates solely on the principle of crime prevention through youth development. Every day, they strive to create positive change in the lives of at-risk young people by teaching them important life skills and helping them turn their lives around. Whether it’s reading, writing, or numeracy, they teach it all so that kids can reach their full potential and become productive members of society.
