The Diepsloot Youth Project is an initiative by Ekform Foundation that focuses on social development through education and skill-building. Home to more than 500 kids, the project saw its inception in 2012 and aims to provide a holistic development to its participants.

    A staggering 35% of the population living in Diepsloot is below the age of 25, which poses a problem in the form of unemployment and over-population. In order to tackle this problem, the Diepsloot Youth Project was created. The project aims at providing tools for improvement and enhancement to the youth of this community.

    The project offers classes like Spoken English, App Development, Painting, Sewing, Barbering, T-Shirts and more. They are held on weekends at various locations in Diepsloot where young people have access to educational tools that will help them improve their lives.

    The youth of Diepsloot are in need of life improvement tools. That is why the Diepsloot Youth Project has been created to help these young individuals develop into well-rounded individuals.

    The DYP provides its clients with a variety of services that will help them on their journey to becoming successful adults. Services include: tutoring, mentoring, and job training. All of this is provided free of charge so that no one is turned away due to financial constraints. The goal of the DYP is to help every youth reach their full potential so that they can be successful members of society.
