Youth unemployment is a major challenge in many countries today. It is high among the school dropouts, who are unable to find a decent job or understand that their skills don’t match the requirements of most companies. Diepsloot Youth Project is all set to change that. Founded by a group of volunteers in 2012, this non-profit organization aims at providing education and skill development programs so that these youth can get ahead in life. In addition to imparting vocational and higher education courses, they also offer free English classes to help these kids develop the right skills for an interdependent world. This project is making a difference!

Diepsloot Youth Project is a local NGO working in the area for the past 5 years. It has managed to put an end to school dropouts, and also has provided many much needed resources, education, and employment opportunities. The NGO’s efforts are appreciated by the locals and they look forward to its next programs.

Jyoti and Shruti decided that they were tired of going through school in vain. ‘We don’t see any use in staying back when there’s no scope for us in the corporate world,’ they say. With these words, Jyoti and Shruti joined the ranks of the school dropouts. However, their entry into this world would change the way they saw life forever.

Diepsloot Youth Project is a unique project founded by a group of youth leaders. They see education as the only solution to battling poverty, unemployment and crime. They organize classes for kids from nearby slums, teach them skills like accounting, filmmaking etc., and make sure that they get enrolled in schools too. This is where Jyoti and Shruti come into play. These two young adults take it upon themselves to teach these kids about life and teach them skills so that one day they too can become leaders in society and be self-reliant.

“They have taught me so many things about life – how to think, how to communicate and more importantly – how to live life with dignity.” says 15-year-old Vaishali who joined Diepsloot Youth Project after dropping out of school due

The youth in Diepsloot are the future of our country. It is imperative that we help them to realise this, which is why Diepsloot Youth Project was formed. By providing these young people with a range of services and opportunities, we aim to give them the skills and resources they need to build successful working lives.

But it’s not just about providing resources; it’s also about creating an environment where these young people can thrive. That’s why we create spaces that are conducive to learning and growing, offering opportunities for personal development and involvement in the community.

Everyone has that person who just can’t stay in. That person who is always on the go and never settled down. The distance they walk, you can say, the more they are able to detach themselves from material things. But what about their education? We all know that education is important and if it scores, it scores a lot!

Diepsloot Youth Project came up with a solution! They have created learning centers where school dropouts can learn new skills and stay connected to their community. These centers are sprouting up everywhere, empowering youth with life skills so they can stand on their own.

Come join us in supporting this amazing initiative that is changing lives for the better one by one!
